REDFIELD Torx Screw Kit, Traditional hex-head screws have a drive angle of 60°, so the wrench has very little area to "grab." Once enough force is applied, two things can happen: the screw strips or the wrench gives. The difference on the Torx screw is the six deep lobes. With a drive angle of just 15 degrees, they provide a comparatively huge surface area that firmly "grabs" the wrench as you drive in the screw.
