Celestron Ultima spotting scope series was designed to perform well in a range of viewing situations, making it a great all-around optical instrument. Celestron Ultima-80ED Spotting Scope is a high performance model.

The Celestron 80mm Ultima ED Spotting Scope 52251 uses an objective lens element of ED (extra-low dispersion) glass to provide excellent color correction. Ultima 80mm-ED's large  objective lens gives you over 77% more light grasp than a 60mm scope. This extra light grasp, combined with its superb color correction, can help you make positive species identifications in poor lighting conditions, such as twilight or under heavily overcast skies. Celestron Ultima 80 mm ED #52251 gives you more optical performance than you'd expect at the price. Compared to other premium 80mm-ED and fluorite scopes, it's quite a bargain.

Ultima80-ED Spotting Scopes are ideal for virtually eliminating chromatic aberration usually seen during planetary and lunar viewing. Day or night, Celestron Ultima-80-ED is optimized to provide the sharpest images available. 80ED model also features charcoal color rubber textured paint for secure grip.
