GG&G Free Float Tactical Forearm - Modular Rail Kit for AR-15 has been discontinued by GG&G and is no longer available. Our product experts have helped us select these available replacements below.
GG&G AR-15 Free Float Tactical Forearm 1201 is the most user-accommodating free floating tactical forearm in the world today. Not just a fixed set of rails, the GG&G AR15 Free Float Tactical Forearm is a fully customizeable kit with multiple lengths, sizes and positions of rails that can be switched out to meet your needs. The GGG Free Floating Tactical Forearm is easily installed on AR15 or M16 carbine length barrels, and unlike other handguard models, this rail system can be mounted on A2 carry handle configurations. The two halves of the GG&G Forearm frame are installed onto the barrel nut with a rigid attachment method. The innovative attachment provides for a full floating barrel. Once installed, the GG&G Free Float Tactical AR15 Forearm is ready to be outfitted with the rails and forearm panels installed in the locations that best suit your accessories, mission requirements and shooting style. GG&G has built this forearm and rail system with a unique design that allows the end user to place rails and forearm panels at all twelve clock positions. The solid polymer removable forearm panels are the same thickness as the removable rails, so when in place, the profile of the GG&G AR15 Fore End Rail Kit is no larger than the forearm.
The major components of the GG&G Free Float Tactical Fore Arm are manufactured from billet 6061 T6 aluminum alloy and are Type III hard coat anodized in a durable tactical non-reflective matte black finish per mil-spec. The forearm panels are manufactured from solid acetal cold polymer. This GG&G Forearm is a very maneuverable and lightweight accessory: Only 16.14 ounces. All attachment points are stainless steel helicoils and torx screws.
The GG&G AR15 Free-Float Tactical Forearm Kit comes complete with all mounting hardware, as well as the following components: (1) Free floating tactical forearm assembly, (1) full and (2) half-top and bottom rails (two halves placed together make a full rail), (2) half-top and bottom forearm panels (two halves placed together make a full forearm panel), (2) half-side rails, (1) half-offset side rail (ambidextrous design), and (2) half-side forearm panels. The kit also includes a torx wrench.
Note, as with other free float versions in the market place, the barrel must be removed from the receiver for installation; however, unlike other models, the installation does not require removal of the front sight or the muzzle brake on post ban models.
