Hunting rings for 36 mm tube on SAKO OptiLock bases/rails. Features two plain classic top covers.
Height: 23 mm/0.91in
Weight: 79 gram/2.8 oz
The ARS-series of aesthetic rings for Optilock scope mounts combines the advantages of Spuhrs patented
diagonally cut rings and interfaces with the aesthetics of traditional hunting rings. The rings are available in three
versions: the standard version with one plain ring and one ring featuring a Spuhr interface, a version featuring Spuhr
interfaces on both rings (article numbers ending with A,) and the classic version without Spuhr interfaces (article
numbers ending with B.)
Installation
The Sako Aesthetic ring set is a replacement part for Optilock scope mounts, using the original Optilock screws to
fasten the rings to the scope mount. To install the rings begin by carefully aligning the two lower halves with each
other. Any misalignment may result in marring of the scope tube. Tighten the base screw so that the front surface of
the ring is parallel with the ring base. Seat the Rifle Scope in the rings and tighten the screws in a crossing pattern
evenly over the four screws. We also recommend using of powdered rosin in the rings to prevent movement.
Torque
The ring screws should be torqued to 15.9-17.8 in/lbs (1.8-2.0 Nm) depending on the scope manufacturers
recommendation.
Spuhr Interfaces
On A and B models the position of the Spuhr interfaces can be alternated between 12, 3, and 9 oclock depending on
the rotation of the lower halves and the rotation of the top cover:
- To position the Spuhr interfaces in the 12 oclock position the lower halves
can have the opening facing either left or right.
- To position the Spuhr interfaces in the 3 oclock position the lower half
should be positioned so the opening is facing to the right (from the
shooters perspective.)
-To position the Spuhr interfaces in the 9 oclock position the lower half
should be positioned so the opening is facing to the left (from the shooters
perspective.)
